I love writing these weekly anecdotes, I have found it incredibly fun and even helpful to reflect on my short time as an artist. Although I enjoy creating this weekly blog, it has definitely been a bigger commitment than I originally anticipated and sometimes I find it hard to figure out what topics to use for my anecdotes. At times, I can think of a great many topics and ideas, others, I find myself lost in the Sahara searching for my oasis while wondering if what I am talking about is something that is interesting or simply superfluous. I realized the best remedy to this state of mind would be to find out what my readers are interested in reading about and, if you are a returning or weekly reader, why you come back to read these anecdotes.
Do you like to learn more about the amusing emotional and mental growth involved in pursuing a hobby as a side hustle, or do you like to find out how some of my unique opportunities came to be? Do you perhaps enjoy learning more about the inspiration and “making of” moments of my pieces (something that I am afraid you are stuck with as I must continue to learn how to write about my work). Though I am perfectly willing to steer the ship this way and that each and every week, it would be rather helpful to know if the passengers even enjoy the intended destination.
So, this week goes out to my readers—what would you like to read about in the future? What topics have I done that you have enjoyed reading? Are there any specific paintings of mine that you would like to know more about? I would love it if you would either comment below or reach out to let me know your answers!
I continue to be so grateful to those of you who are tuning in, and I hope that you tune in next Sunday morning as well.
As Always,
Keep it offbeat!
