One of the most glorious parts about living in a mountain town is the arrival of the mud season. Just as you find your mind and body cracking into a million different frustrated pieces, the change of the season magically empties the town of tourists, and the restaurants and hotels eagerly board up their windows and lock their doors. A wonderful calm comes over the village as only the most unfortunate of souls wander the empty streets while the reality of why their trip was so much cheaper than any other time of year dawns on them. Locals start packing their bags with plane tickets in hand and festive shirts ready to flee town to explore the world outside, or maybe even nurse their wounded egos and fragile mental states back to health. I, however, seemed to always find myself working at places that try to stand against the crowd and keep their doors wide on open to welcome the one or two uncaptured souls that wandered helplessly outside in need of entertainment. I had to content myself with watching my friends pack their bags and leave for their own respective adventures. That was until now! This off season I will be doing some galivanting of my own!
While I find myself happily exploring different daily scenes, I will not be able to fulfill orders from my shop as I will be in a "long-distance" relationship with my prints and originals, unable to send them on a journey of their own to their new home. If you would like to order an original from September 30 until November 1 you are more than welcome to, but it will not be hand packaged and shipped until I have arrived back home after this time period. If you are still interested in talking about any commission projects or collaborations, please feel free to reach out to me during this time and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I have always valued adventure and stumbling into new sights and scenes and so I thank you for your understanding about delayed fulfillment for orders from my shop while I take the time to recuperate and get ready for the animalistic winter season that sits on the horizon upon my return.
Happy mud season to all!!
As always,
Keep it offbeat!
